Well, the swine's going on June 27th.

Post by Bill Sikes »

Tony Blair has announced that he will stand down as Prime Minister on June 27.

None too soon.

"I have been Prime Minister of this country for just over 10 years. In this job, in the world today, I think that is long enough for me, but more especially for the country," he said.

"Sometimes the only way you conquer the pull of power is to set it down."

Not because people are sick and fed up to the back teeth of him, then. Yeah, right.

What will he be remembered for? Spin? Lies? Mediocrity? The Iraq war?

No he flaming well hasn't, unfortunately. He hasn't even the grace to leave immediately, he's going to hang on 'till late June. He's still got the potential to do far more damage in that time, and the posturing will be enough to make many people simpy puke up on the spot.

Self delusional?

With a bit of luck Brown will lose his seat. You never know. I know a lot of die-hard labour supporters that are totally scunnered with the lot of them.

Sorry. Not you I meant Tony Blair. I think by any objective standards he is self delusional. I'm sad he has destroyed the labour party. That and Iraq is his legacy

I'm not really to into politics, but from my very small perspective I don't think he was too bad. I'm just intrested in who people would like as the new PM in the years to come. I really can't see that Cameron guy doing any good if they get into power, I really do worry for our country!

Oh great let's replace one lying self serving crook with another. How anyone consider Blair a man of integrity is beyond me.
