Don't be silly - snails don't taste very nice.

*raises hand here*

I don't think we need to make our mods public displays... wanna know why....

it just gives members names of who they can run to and play tattle tale to. Just read Tombstones posts, the poor man gets enough of that as is. Why start in on our mods.

Yes we have had utter ***** for mods before and they took a hell of a lot of flack, they also started some flack but that is in the past and FG has got past that, I suspect our fearless leader does not want a repeat of this either so again let's leave the mods to mod in private.

Lets take a look at the big picture here, this forum has stood the test of time in many different forms, with mods, without mods, 2 leaders, 1 leader, and we are still standing.

At any given time look at the number of members online, and then go search other forums and see if they have as many members active and online at the same time, you will be hard pressed to match our numbers.

I think our track record shows this forum runs well as it is. We do well with the self moderation and our private mods and lets' let it be.

Again just my honest opinion.

At some point we either need to let things lie and get over it or make some effort to resolve things, which is never easy. I think everyone gets fed up with bits and pieces now and again, and it's good to get it off your chest (gawd, my journal is full of it) but all parties have to decide what's going to be best in the long run.

looks like this is in need of the "discussion area" Pants is in need of answers and solutions.

Perhaps she and some mods should be given a room to discuss this in, and sort it out. Password it, and since Koan is a known mod she could be in charge of setting up the room and the password system and maybe this will help get it sorted. I don't think it should be a free for all with everybody coming into it. We all know this don't work.

again merely my thoughts.

Ummmmmm no, not exactly, more like a meet with the mods, have the mods sign in and allow Pants the floor. Let her or anyone go face to face (so to speak) with the mod that she has a problem with and allow the other mods their say as well and let them see and understand both sides.

If we threw that out to the general population you know darn well it would become a knife fight.

I would like to hope the mods would be fair and allow both sides to be heard and not gang up on Pants. Of course Pants this would be a bit of an experiment and you may feel a little like a lab rat (not being mean here) and I hope time would be allowed for all parties to state their opinions and take into serious consideration the mod and Pants. If it worked well then it could happen for others.

Time is important cause we know we are not all on here for the same time frames.

I dunno Flopps it's about having your say with out gang attacks. No matter who we are.

Just read ALL this thread , I was a Senior Mod on a forum of over 100,000 members (got paid ) it was the most thankless job ever , also on an other forum a shonk post was nominated for The House of Shame , where if it was seconded you were posted in the house and you remained top of the shame list until some one else was put in it , the same forum had a banned members list , you were put on it showing your crime and how long you were banned for :lips: :-5
