A short survey for people who run Bed Breakfast

Post by Twigga »

Hi guys,

The following survey is specifically for B&B owners. I did post this earlier in the day and it got confused with spam. This is NOT a spam of any sort. I just want to find out some key attributes that B&B all over the world might share.

If you are a B&B owner, I would really appreciate it if you could help answer the following 10 questions for me. Thank you very much for your time and kind effort. :)

I've provided the link to the survey. If you prefer to answer the survey on ForumGarden (which is more work because you need to type "yes" or "no"), please see below.

Here is the link to my survey (please copy and paste the link to your browser):

Cheers,

Peter

PS: Dear "saffy", please don't trouble me by labeling my survey a spam. My previous thread was removed due to your comment.

PSS: Let me be very clear, this is NOT a spam of any sort. If you do not wish to help me answer the survey, I still thank you for reading this thread. Also, you may call my number at 1-778-898-5802 (I live in Canada) if you wish to "inspect" me before answering this survey. I'm conducting this survey with integrity, and it is not my intention to cause anyone any unwanted trouble.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Would you like to know what 99.9999% of the B&B owners are NOT doing in their online marketing campaign and that by doing this for your own B&B will AT LEAST DOUBLE your bookings within 90 days?

2. Do you currently SEGMENT your email list into different groups?

Ex.

Target potential customers

Target customers who have stayed at your B&B

Target your best customers — those who have stayed with you the most

Target customers who haven’t stayed at your B&B in a long time

Target customers based on their geographical location

Target customers based on their expressed interests

3. Would you like to know how to SEGMENT your email list into different groups to maximize email “open rates and AUTOMATE this process?

Note: Research in the Email Marketing Benchmark Guide 2006 showed that businesses that segment their lists to cater to their target audience enjoy MUCH HIGHER open rates (an average of 30.86%) than those that don’t segment (4.14%).

4. Do you currently PERSONALIZE your email sent-outs according to your customers’ first names?

5. Would you like to know how to PERSONALIZE every single one of your email sent-outs according to your customers’ first names and AUTOMATE this process?

Note: Research in the Email Marketing Benchmark Guide 2006 showed that emails that include personalized subject lines and messages enjoy ALMOST TWICE as many click-throughs (i.e. people who click on a link in an email) as emails with no personalization — 6.89% vs 3.59% !

6. Would you like to know how to find out any BAD-MOUTHING about your B&B on the Internet and AUTOMATICALLY NOTIFY you about this?

7. How valuable do you think it is to be able to recruit an ONLINE SALES FORCE throughout the world that markets and sells your B&B packages and that you DON’T PAY them a penny until they make any sales?

Best of all, you can AUTOMATE this commission-based program.

8. Do you have a website for your B&B (i.e. NOT your listing with an online B&B directory, but your own website)?

9. Does your website have room availability check and reservation forms for your customers?

10. Would you like to know how you can show your customers VIDEO CLIPS of your B&B WITHOUT needing a website?

I would like to know what your definition of spam is.

If you were, say, trying to market a service that would help B&B owners to manage their businesses and anyone filling out this survey would be informing you that they are a potential customer then I would consider it spam. If you are just a person with intense curiosity about how people get B&Bs to work then I would like to know what other strange curiosities you have. Perhaps you can post another survey about a different topic that interests you. :D

Hi koan,

Thank you for your comment. Like I said, no one is obligated to answer the survey. Even if one does help me answer the survey, he/she does not need to send me any email in fear of any future spamming (which out of my integrity will just never happen anyway).

I'm certain that some B&B owners will find the information which I would like to share valuable. In fact, if you are a B&B owner and the benefits of knowing these tips of mean nothing to you, I would have to say "WOW!! Please teach me what you know." ;)

Anyway, thanks for your reply. Hope someone will lend me a hand in answering my survey. :)

Hi magenta flame,

Thank you for your positive feedback. I'm glad that you find my questions intriguing. If you would be so kind as to take a minute or two to help me answer the survey, I would really appreciate it. Thank you. :-6

Having read this for the second time, It still looks like some kind of sales pitch.. Just what is it that you intend to try and sell? Maybe some piece of software that you have developed? :sneaky:

Hi Hugh,

It is just a market research survey, nothing more.

It seems like there aren't many B&B owners on this forum.....

To Twigga:Please do not post any messages anywhere on this site that are primarily for the promotion or advertising of any website, forums, email address, business, MLM, activity, or other entities that you have an affiliation with.

http://www.forumgarden.com/index.php?page=rulesTo the rest of you:If there are actually any people with online access who can read "How valuable do you think it is to be able to recruit an ONLINE SALES FORCE throughout the world that markets and sells your B&B packages and that you DON’T PAY them a penny until they make any sales? Best of all, you can AUTOMATE this commission-based program" and not recognise a commercial approach in the offing, I suggest they have their online access cancelled as a matter of urgency. To the entire world:This is a definitive example of spam at its spammiest. It's not just "hey, spam?", this is "ewwwww - spam!!!!".

It looks and smells like spam. So it probably is. :D

Weird questions. What's the point?

Also, how can I double my bookings when I'm full for the next two months?
