2 years ago i was at my local airport southampton. My hubby and myself went through the check point so i put my bag through and was waiting for it the other side when i noticed that they took it to one side
One of the satff called to me to one side and said that i had a manicure set in my bag and it is termed as a offence weapon.I was told that will have to get rid of it but hubby asked them not to do that as it was my mums.So they let me post it back to my home address, which i then thought that was the end of it! thye then checked my bag and the contents again and they found traces of explosives they did it again.By now i was in tears we had only 10 mins befire the plane took off, they checked again and still found it there, now they were calling for the air port police,i just could not beleive.
Then this other man came over and asked me what i do for a living,i told him i work in a dry cleaners,he looked at me ripped all the paper work up and he could not say sorryenough
.
I was by then past caring i was sobbing, hubby asked what is going on and we where told the dry cleaning cemical had some of the same stuff that can be found in bomb making,
I tell you now i felt sick and it took me days to get over it.

Oiy scarey moments gosh when I was younger I was a big baby.
I was in an odd car accident many years ago we lost control in this big old half ton truck and shot ourselves off an embankment and nose dived into the ground. Back then seatbelts only went across your pelvis. We were out in the country it was pitch black and nobody was around. I hurt like hell, but nothing was broke. We walked to the nearest farm house to use the phone and the person who opened the door was horrified to see us 2 teens blooody and disoriented on their front step. My mates friend fetched us and took us to the hospital. My mates face was a bloody mess and that was all I knew. When his friend came he was completely shocked apparently both our faces were bloody mess's. So once in emergancy I lost my cool, I could only think about them fixing up my mates face and they came up to me and sternly told me they "had to look after me first" I suddenly went into panic mode and would not stop asking why, over and over again, I kept wondering what they saw that was so horrible about me and what was going to happen about me. They asked my all kinds of questions about the vehicle and the seatbelt was I wearing it, was there any chace I was pregnant yada yada and then wisked me away separating me and my mate. I demanded to call my parents by now I was quite stupidly hysterical. Well finally the Dr came to see me and calmed me down and told me they had to look at me first because I was female, I had more internal organs to worry about and with the fact that I was wearing a seat belt and the fact that I had hit my head on the dashboard and given my tiny stature they were very concerned about internal damage caused by the seatbelt.
Looking back I can laugh at my teenage ignorance and attitude. But I was downright petrified. I did go a few days later to see the truck and wow I crushed that dashboard with my head and my mate was over 6' tall so you can imagine how far the seat was set back....
We both had angels looking out for us cause we pretty much walked away unscathed.
