As many of you know my job has been on the line for the last couple of weeks, my company was taken over by a large company from up North, so all prices had to be brought in line. That change basically killed all the trade, so I knew things weren't looking too good. Well today they got rid of three members of staff, and little ole me was one of them :-5 Actually felt quite sorry for the guy who had to tell us, one collegue was practically crying, I took one look at her and had to stop myself from bursting out laughing, I mean come on, not worth crying about :rolleyes:

Can't believe I told myself yesterday, after reversing into a skip :-5 that things couldn't get any worse.

Anyway, back off to all the agencys tomorrow to find a little job, they wont know whats hit them :wah:

Wow, you have a great attitude about it...good for you. I cried when I was laid off of my last job. I was taking care of my sister-in-law and her baby while brother was in jail, she wasn't working and I have 3 boys to take care of...so umm, I cried!!:-1 But, like you I went a looking, and actually found a BETTER job and very happy now!:) It will all work out!:-4

Thing is the person who was that upset had only been there 2 weeks, I was 2 days from getting my contract :-5 :-5

Thing is, I will really miss the people but not enough to cry over :-1

Need to try and stay positive and fool someone else to taking me on

The job that I had that had to lay me off was for a Law Firm, a married couple owned the Company. The Mr. had to tell me, and he had tears in his eyes. I worked for them for a year and a half, they NEVER had to talk to me about anything...so, when they took me in their office I thought I did something, and asked "what did I do?" and he had tears in his eyes and chuckled and said "you did nothing wrong--we just can't afford to pay you anymore"....:-1
