How timely. I am sitting here sipping a glass of New Zealand's "Villa Maria Riesling". It goes quite well with the Sockeye Salmon that I had for dinner.

The one bottle that I am enjoying at the moment is Vina Maipo Sauvignon Blanc 2006 From Chile which is very smoothing and doing the job for me:)

Autralia's "Yellow Tail" wines seem to be in every store worldwide. Not a bad wine, both reds and whites, and the price is sure right.

yes, tonight's Australian was Lexia - Alice White, quite tasty.

I have had Yellow Tail as well, I really only like it in the Pinot Grigio though..

Lussac Saint-Emilion 2003, a Bordeaux. Ooooh, is my nose so up in the air don'tcha know. Probably purchased at a grocery outlet. Not too fond, ackshully. I prefer a Syrah.

I agree with Lon, the Yellow Tail varieties are very user friendly. Had some nice Chilean reds as well.

You know, there are a lot of simple pleasures in this life, and a nice glass of wine is one of them. Nothing beats a nice glass of wine, lovely weather, and good book.

Also agree with NotToday on Alice White. Australian wineries as a whole produce some good sippage, in my experience.
