I don't understand bored
I hear people say this and I don't understand. Do they mean lonely, that I can understand, but bored? It genrally seems to be young people that say they are bored. Read a book, write a letter, listen to music, think deep thoughts, pick your nose or scratch your privates, but bored, how the hell can anyone ever be bored unless they are a vegetable?

I don't understand bored
True boredom is almost akin to a temporary form of depression.
It's easy to say read a book, do this, do that, but if the impetus isn't there, it just won't happen. I've been bored many times and I assure you I'm no vegetable.

Too right, I am certainely not a vegetable. There is more too this than meets the eye. Sometimes things hit you, and ok it seems like boredom. When I am bored its usually because I am having deeper problems too sort out, I want too talk to people but don't know where too start and maybe don't want to start either.:-4

I am not sure if I have ever been truly bored..but If my life has been very hectic, full or stressful, there are times when the best medicine I can give myself is to just sit for a while and shut down..clear my head, think no meaningful thoughts and do absolutly nothing. Just to detox.
I don't understand bored
OK, my meaningless thought of the day..my chinchilla is staring at me. Just siting there staring at me. It means she wants to go out for a run..but it is nerve racking.
I don't understand bored
I can only get bored if I'm stuck somewhere. Like a meeting and the speaker is monotone and doesn't have enough information to really fill the time slot.
I don't understand bored
oh, recently my back was bothering me and I couldn't sit at my computer or get comfortable after so many hours, and I didn't want to sleep. So I was bored. Made John talk to me. Then I was aggravated. Much better. :wah:

I don't understand bored
Too much to do to be bored.........................
I don't understand bored
My mother always complained of being bored. There were 2 buildings, 13 floors all together, of people. How could she be bored? My son thinks sitting home, watching tv is boring. Yet he'll go to a friends house, sit and watch tv and isn't bored. Just doesn't make sense to me. I'm an adult. I learned to entertain myself YEARS ago. :wah:
I don't understand bored
My grandfather was stuck in a hospital long term care unit and he discovered that if he moved his head a certain way he could make a dead fly in the windowpane look like it was climbing a building across the road.
I don't understand bored
Hmmm.. I didn't realize the feeling of boredom was so unheard of? It's possible to be like me and suffer from ADD and find it hard to place my focus on one thing for a long period of time. I lose my interest in whatever it may be. In fact, it's clinically out of my hands. This is why I normally surround myself with people and things to keep me occupied, and reading is included. But sometimes I have to take a break from all of these things and just be still, and that makes me very very bored.
Did that make sense?
Did that make sense?

I do not understand bored either. My daughter has said she was bored for almost 2 years................she is 22.
I told her to get a ****ing life. She is old enough to DECIDE to live her life!!
Can you imagine a child this age .............cannnot come home!!!
