It was taken on my back porch in St. Louis, was the first I had taken in four or five years. I took it for a friend who hadn't seen me since I recently lost the last, oh 60 pounds.

I didn't remember you at first, but when I saw the picture in your profile I did. I was probably out of high school by then though. When AF told me you had went out with James, I put the picture and you together.

Thanks for the laugh, and the compliment. I have never been to the State Pen, in any state. I have been a resident of a few county jails though. I don't find myself nearly as talented as some people say, and I have to crawl a but before I run. Just posting stories on a forum, myspace, where ever is a big step for me. Actually sending something in to be published is going to take a bit more, rejection letters suck. Also, it was the time frame of it all. I wasn't ready to tell the stories I had, and still need more. I find that everyday people, average folk, are far more interesting than any fiction someone can conjure up. I got to me some more every day people.

It wasn't intentional, and wil probably reverse once I figure out why it happened. I didn't look bad at 200 pounds regardless, just was a little more of me. I am a hundred pounds lighter than I was seven years ago, and it did look bad then.

I get inspired by lots of different poeple. I have my Muse, you read about her, I have my Kate's (Tombstone reference) I have the one that knows me better than any one else, and figured it was a crime to allow me to stifle myself, and to keep me from my rambling. Women is a commen theme there. Music inspires me as well, I love writing stories about songs, and love bringing them into my stories. Life needs a sountrack. Every day, random folks inspire me. I think everyone, wheter they know it or not has a story they want told.

I think just one kid, almost three. That was what I got from Craig. I went to the Methodist Church when I went, the old one. Didn't go much there after high school, and I have been here and over there, or down there, and back since High School.

I like them both, I like wood on my floors, and exposed brick for the walls. I was recently looking at a place on Craigslist, a place in Boise, ID. It was commercial or residential. Huge open areas, wood floors, brick walls. I love the open spaces, huge free space. I like brick on the outside as well, or stone.

I am sure I could tell a few, but I won't. I will say she has always been a nice person, but like most folks I like she will claw your eyes out if you mess with her too much, or people she cares about. She used to live down the road from a good friend of mine and an ex-girl friend who lived on the same street. Funny enough two of the folks that lived on that street work at the new place I transfered to from St. Louis.

I've known her since I could drive, which was a long time ago, we have always had friends, or folks we hung out with in common. She was one of the first to start reading my stories when I started writing at Myspace, she introduced me to this forum. We've probably talked about more in the last month than we ever did in the years before, not more, but different (understand?). I'm glad she is aorund in some capacity for me to bitch too. She is very observant, smart person. Even if she has an attention span like an ant.

I'll tease a bit, I like to do that, tiny bits of information and all. She was one of the last people to see me shirtless in public, it was harmless I said public, not private.

Good woman all around, glad I know her.

Ugh my grammar and spelling in that is horrendous. It used to not bother me; now it makes my head ache. Yes it was in the letter. The one I got this morning. It isn't a direct quote, as much as I want an audience, I need to try and respect her desire of an empty ampitheatre. It was implied, I paraphrased. I'm writing another story or two right now, and I need my distractions while I do so, you are in charge of keeping me entertained. Delegate if needed.

Dilbert always makes me laugh, it is so close to the truth it can't help but be funny. My favorite ever was Far Side. I like reading For Better or Worse as well, that man has been telling a story for a long, long time. I am so pissed at HBO for canceling Deadwood I don't even want to talk about it, and that ain't porn.

Damn that sausage and biscuit, they were closed. The prettiest state would have to be California, but I was lucky. Spent my time there in Monterey, Big Sur, and Carmel. If I could move to another country it would be somewhere they take siestas still, I would live in Vernazza in a heart beat. I have done some charity work, I used to read to the blind, I have taught some adult literacy, well not taught, just helped some folks that wanted to learn, I used to do adopt a highway in high school, I every other year or so try to find some folks in a nursing home and get them a Christmas card, some socks, bathroom things, etc. It gets expensive though, and I can't afford it. I put a woman through rehab once, that was a lot of wasted money. I volunteered at St Judes a few times, but the place breaks my heart. I couldn't do it anymore.

Pygmalion has been done literally hundreds of times, by as many different people. Even Ovid’s version was a knock off of someone else. It has been done enough that I suppose you can take whatever meaning you want from it. The classical interpretation is of a man, a sculptor, who after seeing women of the night from a city famed for them; decided to carve his “perfect woman in ivory. If you start with something made of dirt, in the end that is all that is going to be left. I mean that in a literary way. We all have our spots and blemishes, that is what makes us worth knowing and loving. How easy it would be to love a statue, one that never talks back, never disagrees, never shows a side you hadn’t discovered yet. An object that never grows old, never gets a wrinkle, never has a bad hair day. Stays supple, firm, and long legged for all of eternity, or at least until you kiss it.

You have to be careful when you let what you know is truth pass into and swirl around that which you have imagined is the way things should be. You have to even be more careful when you never let the two meet.

Let me ammend a little. I also think it is telling us that a blemish is a blemish, and can be overlooked, but when the object contains so many cracks and fissures that it is just waiting to fall apart; get out of the way. Imperfection is beauty, ugly is just damn ugly.

No, except for purgatory, but that is only the romantic in me that believes in that.
