The way things are said!

Post by cars »

The way "things" are said & or Phrased can make them either acceptable, or extremely offensive! The "same" words Phrased/used cleverly, can appease rather than offend a person. While using the same exact words Phrased in an antagonizing manner will infurriate that very same person!!! This post is not suggesting that anyone must censor their posts at all. But to just "think" before you Phrase your words in your posts, read them back to yourself and see if they may be interpreted as offensive! Many mis-understandings can be avoided by just thinking before you post!! :lips: (Otherwise, go ahead and beat each other up)

Yes, your use of the word "phrased" offended my sense of spelling. :wah:

But seriously, you do have a point, I think people should avoid the words "never", "every" and "always"

Because nothing's ever "always" and it's never "never". :D

And no, Dana, it's all ok. There's been few ruffled feathers lately, but it's just Spring fever. We are a very stable, loving and caring bunch.

I like you, really! :D

In such an informal place where all you see are words on a screen, there is always going to be misunderstandings. As I posted elsewhere, you cannot hear how a comment or post was made, can't see eyes or body language, all the things that play a part in RL communications. Best thing to do is ask if your not exactly sure how a post was meant to come off (either on the board or in private). A lot to times, misunderstandings can be avoided.
I probably posted that in an ambien trance-soryy

Very true, and maybe the stress should be on your comment "informal" and things should be taken in such a way.

Tis a pity we can't just come here and post and have fun without feeling like we are in jr high school again.
