My son who is 19 moved out recently into his own flat he shares with another friend.

Just got a phone call from him asking me over for a cup of Coffee. :)

I hung up and had a little cry, only seems like yesterday he was born.

Good for you and good for him. Some parents have a 29 year old son still living at home that they can't get rid of.

I do wish my grown children lived close enough for me to go have a cup of coffee with them..................and a hug.

I can't wait for that to happen with my son although it will probably be a VO he will be sending, lol.

Na seriously, it must be really hard but you must feel proud at the same time. He will always need you. I moved out at 16 and now at almost 33 still need my mum.

Its funny you know when he was living at home his bedroom was a trash heap,he would drop his towels on the floor never did anything in the house and now he washes , vacuums, cooks, irons does the shopping so at least he was observing what we did which is something.

I went over and I didnt like to tell him I dont drink coffee anymore but when I got there he had coffee , tea, milo, all sorts of other drinking things, so I was able to have my Milo. :) Then he wanted to go shopping to look at frying pans and a clothes drier and wanted my opinion.

I still miss him badly but I am so very proud of how he has turned out. :)
