Are we coming up on a full moon? Has the earth been tilted off it's axis? Is there a world-wide epidemic of nuttiness? What the hell is going on lately?? Seems like every time I check out FG lately, there is someone being rude, or crabby, or someone has lost all sense of reason. Manners have gone out the window, pleasantness is a thing of the past, friendliness is just a fond memory. Is it spring fever? Cabin fever? Are folks not getting their reccommended daily allowances of hugs? I can't even begin to imagine what the problem is, but I don't like it! Who here has had a good day and what made it good? I need some positive news, please! Restore my faith in the good folks in FG!!!

It is less than two weeks until summer vacation! Yay! I'm getting a new school next year and will have a case load in the high 40's instead of the 60's. I am going to get the back area of my yard rocked in for 1000 instead of the original 5000 dollar quote. Life is good today! Everything looks bright and sunny in the garden and in my life. It couldn't be better!

Let's have a think. I spent most of my day so far talking with my daughter, which is always a highlight. We've been looking through photos she took back-packing though Vietnam and Cambodia over the last few months with a school classmate. We've been discussing books she wants to read before she starts her University course after the summer. We've been discussing what direction she might take after she graduates, and whether society benefits from criminalizing drug use and if so, who, which and why. I'm putting NASA's World Wind on a computer for her at the moment, since she's never heard of it and I think it's educational, while she's walked up the road with a friend to watch Les Choristes at the local movie theater. Not a bad day, really.

Oh yea, and I'm having a good day. My little one is still doing awesome so that makes a good day for me. I'm getting pics of her develped today so I can scrapbook them. The guy we hired to do the dry-wall and sheetrock on our basement is actually down there working today. And I still have 2 weeks to go before I have to go back to work :( But, I'm not going to think about that now.

The weather here today has been glorious sunshine for a change :-6

Took the dogs down into Bluebell woods, the perfume off them was beautiful & the dogs attempt at chasing a rabbit was comical, Charlie (my mums dog) tripped over a branch & crashed into the undergrowth, clumsy sod!

The scaffolding has been taken down from the front of my house (been having the brickwork re-pointed) so my lounge is a lot brighter now.

My hayfever is'nt as bad today, i'm not sneezing half as much.

I received a cheque off insurance company for £92.

And have also heard some wonderful news from dear ald spandex queen.

So, all in all B.R everything is all right with me over here in good old England x:D

I've had a great day today. It's my day off so that is good right there. Went shopping, which I don't normally like, but when I find bargains I love it! Bought the kids some much needed summer clothes. It's been a really good day.

I have noticed lately that a lot of the posts make me go WTF? :-6

Bleach works too.I didn't know that. A dab of toothpaste usually does the trick for me but not this time. This is what I get for passing out outside overnight.

Well, let's see. The company I work for decided that since last year's profits were up and the production costs were down, they took all the Executives, senior managers and all their families on a paid 4 day trip to the Bahamas. I was lucky enough to get to go along(i got to baby sit the drunks). Got sun burnt all to Hell.

And the scenery was FAN-freakin-TASTIC!

Here you are BR, this should make you smile a little bit, maybe !

Must tell you about a woman who had to take a bottle with sample in it to the hospital for tests.

She arrived at the hospital at her appointment time, but she was in such a state, the nurses and doctors just couldn't understand why she was hysterically laughing, tears pouring down her face, clutching her sides. When she had eventually calmed down enough to talk, she began to explain:

"I was bringing my sample here, this morning, and I realised I was a bit early so I nipped into a shop to get a couple of items I needed. On my way out, this 'wino' bumped into me just outside the door, he was very apologetic and I thought no more about it, till I got to the hospital door here and I checked my sample bottle was OK in my bag, but it had disappeared ! It made me panic a bit at first, till I remembered the job I had at home to find a suitable bottle for my sample, but in the end I found this empty bottle and thoroughly washed it out and used that for my sample. Unfortunately I forgot to scrub off the whisky label, and that 'wino' who bumped into me....................." the poor woman collapsed into more hysterical laughter at the thought

I don't suppose there's any way we could talk BR into posting? I bet there's a lot of news to catch up on. It's nearly six months since she decided she had to go quiet.

There can't be many who fit that though.

There was a particular argument on a single topic. I'm sure it can be left untouched in future by both camps. It's a very minor part of anyone's life.

Catching up is far more important than angling to win.

The last time we conversed was during a disagreement. I don't remember the subject and it certainly wasn't the first time we'd disagreed, but I'm certain she was surprised and hurt that I disagreed with her on that particular subject. I hope that wound has healed, because I miss my friend.
