Do people spend loads and loads of time on these "forums"? A recent thread calls attention to the fact that some [sets of] people post on several forums. It must be very time-consuming!

How many hours a day do you spend posting to forums as your main activity?

I have a couple windows open with them, but I'm not always here. Always off running an errand, or something with my kids. I learn more here, than watching day's of our lives and eating poptarts :D

This is the only one I post in, and the only one I read with any amount of interest. I spend most days hoping that someone posted a reply to something I shared in the writing section. I post there when I have a little something, and take my detours to threads about music, looks, and member size.

Depends on how busy I am with other things. Some days I can only spend a few minutes online, others I can pop in and out a lot. Also would rather be here than sat watching rubbish on the tv.

FG was the 1st Forum I joined. People have come and gone, many I miss terribly.

I joined other forums to catch up with old freinds but not one of those other forums can match FG. I 'lurk ' every day, but don't post so much though.

FG is my main forum.

I'm an active member of three others (not so active at times) but I flit between them I generally have my computer on all day and check the recent posts on all of them quickly when I sit down.

If a friend starts a forum I try to help get posting started or maintain the flow of discussion.

Been with my main forum since about 2002 and am a moderator (dogs body) there.

Been an active member on another since 2003, lots of meets and fun.

Registered with loads of others purely for stalking purposes.

I spend a fair amount of time on forum boards but not as much as I used to. I used to sign into them in the morning and then not sign out until bedtime. I would do whatever I needed to do around posting.

I belong to 3 other forums, other than this one. I don't have a computer at home. So, I pop into them at work. I keep them open, but don't always watch what's going on.

I've never added them up. I know I'm here way more than I need to be. Especially at night; I'm usually on till about 3 am at the most. Well, sometimes later, sometimes not.

I used to be at Care2.com but I grew away from it. I was there for about three years or so. This place has grown on me. I was a member and moderator of another forum while coming here but I got tired of getting reminders that I wasn't at theirs enough so I left. I don't need to be told where to spend my time. I'm happy here.

The only one I chat on now is here and I rarely use MSN. I just come on mainly when I am free during the day, ie school time and late evenings. I can go without though for a few days when I'm busy like most people.

Well I used to spend time on other forums when I wasn't working as much as I am now. And as a few of us here know....some people from another forum came over here to start a war with me. But I don't see many people over on that forum much now.

I used to go to a web design forum too. A lot of guys over there, and they argue a lot. :p

And I used to to on the forum on Farts.com. I actually won a "story of the day" award. It was about my mother's husband who worked for a company named "Airgas". I would ask my mother "so what does he manufacture there at his job...farts?" She'd get mad and never laugh. So I wrote this entire story about it and the site gave me a litte award. So I sent it to my mother in an email and she was all offended. She did not get that it was a joke.

Here is a good forum......http://www.createfarts.com/

I used to be active on a cycling forums site, but they've become a contentious bunch over there and it's getting harder to find a friendly thread without slipping around on the spilled entrails and broken teeth.

I read and post here and in another set of forums, mostly on weekends.

I used to post on a lot of forums and that's only because I knew a lot of people in real life and it was a good way to keep in touch just because we'd shear the same interests.

I don't go on them any more now because I just don't have the time so now I'm on just two this one FG which is my main one and another because its a real interest of mine.

I belong to a lot of different forums but don't post much in any of them. I skim some daily, some every couple of months. Depends on which forums hold my interest the most at the time.
