Apparently, the CIA is set to reveal all their past secrets. From the article it looks like they are stopping at the mid '70s. The article says it's stuff that the public already knows about but it will be interesting to see how far it goes.

I'm really suspect of that. You know how anti-government I am anyway, I just find it hard to believe that all these records aren't going to have a lot of "black boxes" all over them (from being inked out,) making the whole affair moot.
I love that one part though:
It is "unflattering" but part of agency history, CIA chief Michael Hayden said.
"This is about telling the American people what we have done in their name," Gen Hayden told a conference of foreign policy historians.
Yeah, human experiments and kidnapping.
The CIA: Looking Out for YOU! :wah:
Unflattering, he said? Get a thesaurus! That is way beyond unflattering.

The last bit sounded like Kissinger might end up with his ass hanging in the wind but it was hard to make out what they were saying exactly.

I would expect Kissinger to be reticent about the release of this stuff but I wouldn't think he'd be in any worse hot water than the ones who actually performed these crimes. Oops! I mean those who actually were looking out for the lowly American citizen and doing everything they could to protect them.
