I wish to start a commune

I only need six people; the reason is simple, I want this house.

But I don't want it empty. PM your applications to me. I promise I will serve no cherry Kool-aid.

I like the floors. I've never lived that far from the sea though. I'd need a work permit and permanent residency, I'm not sure I'd get either.

It's on a golf course. Wouldn't you be worried about golfballs breaking windows?

I lived on a Golf Course. All the homes have reinforced windows.

Great way to get free balls though.:D

don't most downtown areas figure 650 sq ft is luxury now-a-days?

I changed my mind; I'll just go live in a cave and nature can be my commune. Oh the good times that could have been had.

I think it's a cool idea. It appeals to me because I don't particularly enjoy living alone or being without people to talk with. I'd sure consider it if it were possible. :)

Memphis isn't the location she is refering to. Memphis is freakin cheap. Think New York, LA, Seattle, Chicago even. Ten years ago 1k square feet in Monterey cost about half what that 5k square foot house costs now.

It was a rhetorical question.

People do it every day for much smaller and more crowded abodes. Google the average cost per month on a 600 square foot studio in New York and Chicago. The price is all relative, but still. look somewhere besides Cabrini Green. If I had the money to pay 6 grand a month then no I wouldn't. I would just buy it, or build my own monstrosity full of hard wood, open spaces, and interior brick stone walls. After you check prices in NY and Chicago go check LA. I'll take the mountains, and the rivers of Idaho over those collages of crazy people any day.
