Interest has been expressed in finding out what it means (if anything).

Those interested could ask Helefra, Uncle Fester or Spot as they are of the Welsh persuasion. Having put them in the firing line, I must deny any and all knowledge of whether they are Gogs or Magogs.

I can, however, say with absolute certainty that none of them are Gwr y Gogledd.

The rather clever toast of "Bottoms Up" gives the clue, I'm afraid.

That's the proper spelling Bcup (and no, I'm not having a go at your spelling).

You're not a teuchter, so you aren't required to know.

Dont worry about spelling, thats not one of my buttons ;)

Wikapedia classes a teucher as a scot in the north or highlands, im in the north. :D

Are you saying pog mo thon does not mean 'kiss my ass'?:-6

Quote - My grandfather, Duncan MacLeod, spent a few summers in Upper Southwest Mabou with his Gaelic-speaking relatives when he was a boy, but he thought the language was silly and the only things he picked up were ‘ciamar a tha thu’ (how are you) and ‘pog mo thon’ (kiss my arse).

Most definitely, I have a dictionary which defines ASS in this manner:- ass1 noun (asses) 1 any of various species of hoofed mammal resembling, but smaller than, a horse, with longer ears, a grey or brownish coat, a short erect mane, and a characteristic bray. 2 colloq a stupid person.

Personally, I do not possess anything which falls into either category (although I was married for a while).

Thus, Pòg mo thòn does not mean kiss my ass. It means Kiss my arse.

‘ciamar a tha thu’ (how are you) - truth

and ‘pog mo thon’ (kiss my arse). - truth
