Ben Park Drive was playing a local bar. Quite like their music.
A gal on a forum was always saying how good Marillion is so I purchaced Mislpaced Childhood which is excelent.
Have a few other recordings of theirs which I bought later that are a bit iffy.
What bands have you discovered online that you would probably not have discovered in real life with out the internet?

Discover any good bands online?
First post was not in UFO land but it was music related.
Boy did not make clear that I found BenParkDrive online on a local bars website. Although from the title an inferential leap may have been made.

Discover any good bands online?
Can't believe that I did not give www.youcallthat-art.com a plug. But I discovered them in Fort Collins not online.
There is another Irish band that I need to check out from the Deep Purple forum on the runbords. My computer's sound is out again. But as soon as it is up I have lots of music to check out. May just have to buy another computer for messing around online. I'm a little scared to do any downloads.

Discover any good bands online?
http://www.celtic-legacy.com/mainindex.html
they were recommended to me quite a while back. Just got sound on computer back. A bit 80ish but based on the sound clips I like them.
They were recommended on both my forum and the Deep Purple runboard.
And from a post on forumgarden
http://www.forumgarden.com/forums/showt ... 377&page=2
found
another forum that had this band posted
http://www.barsuk.com/nadasurf/ecard/
If the new Deep Purple is a dud at least I've found a couple of new bands.

Do I count?
Sadly You Call That Art? died recording their second CD:(
But at least www.benparkdrive.com is still alive. Found them online when they were playing a local gig. They wone a contest later to open for Poison and Kiss.
