***** cat, ***** cat

My wife is obsessed with cats. We have 4 of the little mites at the moment. If she had her way it would be a lot more. The trouble is they get in some mad places. Only the other day she could hear meowing in the kitchen. She searched high and low then finally she found the little kitten in the refrigerator. Lucky enough it survived its short arctic experience. Whilst putting the milk away she'd trapped the cat. The worst was when we got to the checkout in a food store. Ready to pack the shopping into our trolley when suddenly out jumped a frightened feline. We'd actually taken it on a 3 mile journey to the shops in our shopping trolley we use to carry the food home. We got some strange looks that day.

Oh my gosh. I have an OCD about the fridge. I always check it to make sure I didn't shut the cat in it, even when I KNOW I didn't. I've done that for years.

My biggest fear with my cats are the washing machine and dryer.

One day one of our cats climbed into the laundry, which I then loaded into machine, switched on and shut lid. Replaced the big basket that I have on top of washer. Then something told me something was wrong. I ran back to the washer, threw the basket across the kitchen and opened lid. There was my cat looking terrified and soaked. I hate to think what could of happened.

Also, both cats climb into the dryer when I'm emptying it - now I have to check and double check before I put on again. :-5

Our Boris sometimes jumps up onto the water heater. It's tucked into a corner of the pantry, and if he ever over-shot his target or otherwise fell behind it, we'd have to uproot the thing to rescue him. That is if he was fortunate enough for us to be home to hear him. I worry constantly about that.
