GPS Devices
GPS Devices
I received a Garmin GPS device as a present and am delighted with all the features. This morning we drove from California to Reno, Nevada with the hotel of where we are staying, programmed into Garmin. A nice female voice with an Aussie accent (also programmed in) gave precise instructio motels, sights. I'm impressed. This one works so much better than the one that I used last year that was a feature in a rental car. Is anyone else using a GPS dievice?

They're quite handy are they not? I also like the female Aussie voice. :p
The technology seems to get considerably better with each passing year, so I continue to update my GPS devices... I currently use the Nuvi 660, and the GPSmap 496, both by Garmin, for flying, driving, hiking... The latter device is absolutely amazing... it can pretty much do just about anything.
I also have one that I regularly use that is manufactured by Thales... it's a more ergonomic handheld device... it's called a MobileMapper and it seems to work exceptionally well, also.
