My Point about Darfur Atrocities
I had none----------I just posted a picture of four men than had their limbs chopped off------and asked for---COMMENT? I got it didn't I? All off the wall----I never said I had a cause------or that I supported anything----made a comment about people not being aware of world happenings---it's interesting how threads evolve.

Well, Lon if you had a comment you were looking for and didn't get it, I could see your point. But you just asked for comment, so what's wrong with the ones you got?
It's just conversation evolving as you said.

There was nothing wrong with the responses other than showing no one seemed to really know what was going on in Darfur, how who or what was responsible for the amputations. One response even made an erroneous connection to the Falun Gong, some folks started to get nasty with each other, some became POMPOUS. Yes, it is conversation evolving and sometimes deteriorating.

I see.
Well, you're going to haveemotions in a conversation. I for one didn't see any deterioration myself for a conversation that began with no proposed subject anyway.

The proposed subject would be obvious by the very nature of "Darfur Atrocities" with the picture of the four amputees. It would be obvious to the informed person and not obvious to the uninformed person. This is not a put down. I was surprised that there was not more informed response.

If seeking informed response is a point, then yes.

I have an acquaintance who's very concerned with the goings on in Darfur.
Perhaps it's time to sit and listen to him.
Lighten up, Lon.
You're more fun when you're in New Zealand.
;)
What are you're feelings on Darfur?

Two things-----------One----how come the United Nations sits on their collective asses and does nothing? Second, why does the U.S. tolerate one dictatorial regime and go after others tooth and nail. Of course, Darfur has nothing that we need or want. Our Foreign Policy sucks bigtime.

I'm trying not to believe that. Unfortunately, that is how things appear.
What do we see in Uganda? Why would we help them?

That is what they do best. I appreciate the post you made; I wrote my letters a long time ago; and write them for other things now, but perhaps I will write another for Darfur.

Life ain't linear.
My Point about Darfur Atrocities
Is the point the atrocities or government corruption?

Sierra Leone, and Rwanda too.
Perhaps AID is spread to thin, perhaps there isn't more to give. I dunno it's a dam shame honestly it is.
