A One Person Job

Post by koan »

I consider myself fairly competent and capable so it surprises me that I've ended up, quite often, in a situation where someone was all over my personal space "helping" me do something that in no way required two people.

Case in point:

I was removing clothes from the dryer and someone else decided to help me. :-2 so after I grabbed a handful of clothes I became a bin and the other person started piling housecoats and towels on me.

At what point did I seem incapable of gathering the laundry?

:wah:

It's family get together season.

I've also had people try to help me fill the coffeemaker, and come change the nozzle on the hose while I was watering plants.

Where are these people when I'm blow torching the old tiles off the floor?

Hiding if they are smart. You have to pick your battles; sounds like a rather intelligent family.

When I get outside to refinish the deck I can sand off whatever blisters still remain. Meanwhile... the problem is that I get cornered while the task is being taken over so I can't get in to do the chore and I can't get out to let them do it for me. Squished. Annoyed. Insulted even.

YES!!!

This is what I mean :)

I've had someone cleaning up after me too so that when I put a mug out to pour coffee and went to get a spoon, I turned back and the mug was already in the dishwasher.

oiy that gets my ire up big time.... I am always snapping at them, "I can do it" and i sound like a raving biatch but it truly makes me mental, been on my own plenty of years, and am pretty capable, maybe I ought to send them out to build me a garage while I cook dinner. ahahahaha
