With a few clicks of your mouse, right on your very own computer, you have access to every newspaper, magazine and publication imaginable. All for free.

Current events in your home town and from all over the world. A wealth of financial information, medical information, you name it. You don't need to subscribe to a newspaper or even watch TV. It's all right here at your finger tips. All it takes is your interest. Of course, personal problems for many of you, I realize, makes this difficult and the few hours that you spend on FG is far more therapeutic and rewarding.

I see you read something I talked about. How come you didn't wish me luck on my dreams to be some young, nubile, and rich woman's pool boy?

On the educational side, I learn a lot from you guys by your posts, world events included. It prompts me to do my own research on some topics that interest me or I am passionate about.

yep me to FG is a little escapisim.

I'm confused, how can you say this here and then the comments you made in 'Jerry Springer' thread....or is this sarcasm?

Sometimes, depending on mood and individual circumstances, laughter and silliness is very therapeutic and rewarding :-6

Once I move the car out of my front yard, if I can tear myself away from Jerry Springer long enough, I may just google the news. :D I am shocked to learn you can learn so much on the internet!

I do love. I was up reading the news and financial data at 5:30 AM----went swimming for an hour at 7 AM and played a set of tennis before getting on FG.

I went geocaching in the morning, i had my 2 weekly x ray on my hands early afternoon, late afternoon i had my hair done & picked up some ingredients for supper which i cooked with my partner. Done some moderation work for Freecycle, solved my teenage daughters latest drama & am now online with several windows open catching up with e-mail, latest hair & beauty news (my work) & socialising in the garden & on messenger. Ive got a hot date with my love after his car stuff is finished on tv or satellite (i dont know much about that, we have a deal, i dont bore him with hair & nails unless i have too & he doesent bore me with cars/grand prix unless he has too) Its a nice/ standard kinda day in the butter household :-4

I have always made time to keep informed with news and information that is available to me, in truth I find most issues depressing, so what with all my personal problems I find it a real relief to come here and socialise with my friends, always brightens up my day.

My typical day consists of getting up at 6.30, sorting out kids and taking my daughter to school, then it's normally off to physio or cleaning the house, then before I know it the kids are back home time to cook dinner etc and run kids to kids clubs. Then I get to come here to relax, as I have a problem getting to sleep I tend to then study the financial data, which is guaranteed to send me off into a deep sleep.

Good lord this all beats getting my kid ready for school, answering my emails and the boss's emails and phone calls while she is on holidays. As well it is far more impressive than filling out NAFTA, Commercial, and Shipping docs to send Dangerous Goods off to the good old USA. Oh not to mention fielding calls, turning down telephone solicitors, filling a few orders, receiving some connectors, capacitors, and transistors. Oh I think I snuck in a coffee, a bite of lunch and a handful of moments of being on hold with suppliers. Oh of course then there was the packaging of packs and doing packing slips to fill orders while the accountant is out, and we are short staffed.

Crikey I need to take on more things.

Yep I am in the wrong place of impotence!! (i spelt that that way for a reason)

I got up this morning, practiced my pole dancing routine. Smoked 10 fags and finished off last nights vodka. Mooned the nieghbours. Logged on and insulted everyone on FG. Had a little more vodka and 10 more fags. Threw the empty beers cans on the floor to give me more table space so I could practice my lap top dancing.

Slept while the kids did whatever they wanted. Logged back on and insulted a few more FG members.

Opened a fresh bottle of voddy, and new pack of fags. Switched on red light outside house and logged on to FG, whilst waiting for punters.

That's a good question. Here is what I have done. Use BOOKMARKS and put in News as one of the topics and then transfer the following to News

www.cnn.com, www.drudgereport, www.usatoday, www.wallstreetjournal.com, www.usnews.com, www.foxnews.com ,www.bbc.com or any other news sources of which there are many
