Mike the Real Headless Chicken

They missed the jugular vein when lopping off his head so this chicken was able to live for 18 months headless. They had to feed him via his neck with an eyedropper.

According to the story, the axe didn't cut clear and Mike still had enough of a brain stem to survive. Most of the activity in a chicken supposedly takes place in the brain stem.

OK...this is very off subject.........I have to ask...........where did you get a pic of the giganto moth that visits us once a year on its migration north.

did you see that story about the duck in the freezer?

The man/hunter supposedly shot the duck - stuck it in the freezer - wife goes to the freezer and the duck was still alive. They ran it to a wild life DR and saved the duck. True story.. strange things do happen

I got it from a Google image search. It's a Lunata Zale moth. Moths mean something to me. :) I saw your moth. It's really something!

I did read about that somewhere...that poor little duck. I would have freaked out if I had been the one to find it!

Can you imagine opening your freezer and that duck moving - I'd pee my pants..
