Do you know how to. . . . . .

Post by cars »

I was very surprised to find out how many of my friends "do not" know how to change a car's "Flat Tire"! They were complaining how long they had to wait for their "Motor Club's" service truck to get to them to change their car's Flat Tire.

My Dad knew how to change a Flat Tire, & thought it was a good idea for me to learn how to change one also. So he taught me to change a flat before I even had my driver's license. I not only know how to change a Flat Tire, over the years I put that knowledge to use & have "rotated" my cars tires every 5,000 miles to assure even wear on all of them. I hate waiting at the service station 2+ hours to have them rotate the tires. I can rotate all 4 of them in a little over 1/2 hour. Plus I'm getting some exercise! Not to mention, I saved a little cash at the same time!

SO DO YOU KNOW HOW TO CHANGE A FLAT TIRE IF YOU HAD TO?!

my dad didn't let me get my first car until he knew I could change the tire. I have changed a couple in my life.

Yep, I know how!! Changed one on a full size Chevy Conversion Van with 3 kids running around...not a fun memory!! I don't know how to rotate the tires and balance though...got me a good friend that does that for me!!:)

I also know how to jump start a battery!!--which some don't know how to do either.

I'm with ya sista...I'm only liberated because I'm forced to be...I'd much rather have a man do it for me!

Even if I was a qualified mechanic I'd still make a guy do it........You're not supposed to admit it though.

You're supposed to make out that you're doing a man a favour in making him believe he's so much better than we are. Did you miss that particular femminism class?

I think he means when there is no one to flutter our eyelids at.
Right you are mag! The original OP said "if you had to!!! Forget about AAA or us manly men to do the dirty work!!! :-2

Suffice it to say, over the years I have changed my fair share of cars on the road with flat tires for "damsels in distress" cause of fluttering eyelids! :D:rolleyes::p
