creamation for me for a number of reasons, I won't be taking up precious land space in a box underground, and secondly I would like to be sprinkled along the shores of Vancouver Island and be set free as opposed to being "contained".

I would prefer to be cremated.Reason being the yobs are desecrating our graveyards. That must be heart breaking for the relatives. The other reason is,if you have a grave then the relatives feel they have to keep going back to see you.The thing is you are not there,it is just your shell.Hope that makes sense.

Burial in a simple old fashioned coffin-shaped pine box or in no box at all.

I know it's taking up space but I am uncomfortable with my body being burned, in a kiln especially. There is some kind of just romance (for lack of a better word) about decaying back into the earth while my soul becomes part of the ether.

I would rather be buried, but if I die here my mother knows to take me home to bury me. So, she would probably creamate me so it is easier.

Cremation seems an okay option though I'll go with whatever my children want to do with my body...well, it's not as if I shall be able to argue with them about it!

Has anyone given any thought to cryogenics?

Or check this out:

You can have your ashes turned into a diamond for someone.

Note: something got lost in the translation. That they're talking about one's "creaminess" is kind of gauche.

Even more importantly, created from the creaminess of a person who was dearly loved by the survivors of that person.

I'd prefer cremation, because being in the ground bugs me - that whole small spaces thing - although I do know it won't really matter. Not like I'll be there to complain. Cremation, though, just seems better to me. For practical matters, such as money, as well as the idea of spreading ones ashes in a much loved place.
