Learn some cool stuff about pigeons!
They have found our food source. The bastardos chase off the doves, finches, and sparrows that we like to feed. I bought a pellet gun to scare them off but then 4 weeks ago I actually hit one. I didn't kill it..........I just cut its wing bone in half. It was not going to be able to fly again and I had to kill it. The pellet gun is in the garage and will never be used again. Stupid pigeons get a yell out the front door now.

Then try something wiser. Don't groundfeed. Pigeons eat off the ground. Finches, sparrows and songbirds prefer to eat from feeders. Get some feeders made specifically for those types of birds. The pigeons will stop coming around if they have to work for their food and they cannot get it out of a songbird feeder.

Gee wizz dip stick.............. You are supposing we pour our food on the ground........NOT.
We feed many birds. The finches we feed Niger in a sock. the sparrows and song birds we feed in a feeder made just for them. Unfortunately we have many birds that root through the feeder and dump it all over the ground therefore the pigeons attack. But we have doves here that feed off the ground and we DO supply them too. The pigeons are just a nuisance but we will NEVER stop feeding our doves..........

Okay, dick-in-the-weeds, since you can't post respectfully why should I give you that courtesy? Here's a smart suggestion: stop feeding the birds. If you can't feed them all and let them sort it out without resorting to blowing them away, you aren't doing a service to them so leave them alone and let someone else who knows birds feed them.
