Workman comp
So let me ask every working person here. Do you get charged $2.00 every 2 - 4weeks for workman's comp from your paycheck? If you do or don't please state it here. I always have been chareged that minimum to cover on the job injury.

I don't, but they probably should. I am getting ready to fall off of a ladder and let a about a 32 inch television land on my face.

If you live in the States it is a mandatory deduction I think.

I live in the states and they aren't deducting it from my paycheck. I have never had a job that did. If they are deducting it; then it is not itemized.

Thank you Carla........it is $2.00 every 2 or 4 weeks. If other people do not look at their paystubs. How the heck do you think you get paid for being hurt on the job?
GEEZ - there is always that $2.00 - or $4.00 a month for workman's comp. Look at your pay stubs.

Workman's comp should be paid by the employer. What they pay varies with the type of work the employees are doing. They don't pay as much for someone doing customer service as they do for someone doing construction work since the one doing construction is more likely to be injured.

That's what I thought. I actually went back and got a check from when I was a welder and high heat steel treatment worker. They did take out Workman's comp insurance, it was 12 years ago or so, I forgot. They didn't take much, but I haven't had any taken out since that job.
