My Tribute to Teachers

Post by Lon »

It was a Junior High School English teacher that knew I was a poor kid from the wrong side of the tracks and hired me at $1.00 per hour (1948) to do odd jobs. And another that tutored me at her home because I was having a tough time with Algebra. And the High School Basketball Coach that spent his own money to buy tennis shoes for me because I was broke at the time I needed them. (I paid him back). And then after coming back from Korea, that same Junior High School teacher that encouraged me to use my GI Bill and go on to college. Teachers can't touch the lives of all their students, but for the few that they do, it truly must be rewarding. Good luck to you Acc and I hope you can have a positive impact on many kids.

It is amazing the impact that a teacher can have your life, I remember getting along with all but 1 of my teachers, some of them became very good friends, 2 of them went to my wedding :)
I am nobody..nobody is perfect...therefore I must be Perfect!
