Ha!!! NO....I am the "fixer of all things" no time to sulk dammit!!

In my mind, I am the biggest complainer and fight with myself, but to bring it on the outside and complain....ha!!

I do let some of it out, but FEW people know all of my troubles...I HATE to complain...believe it or not....I like to be happy go lucky...really I do.

Now, My EX used to sulk, if he wasn't happy....NO-one was and he would shoot my happy mood right where it hurts EVERY-Time...how I fixed it you ask??? HE IS MY EX!!!! ha ha ha yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!! *insert happy dance here*

I suppose I do a bit in some ways. When someone upsets me, which isn't so often these days, I go very quiet. I know I become introverted for a while but I can't seem to do anything about it even though I know I need to snap out of it sooner or later. I'm fairly even tempered and jokey so it must be quite noticable. :o

Not so much if I don't get my way, I always get my way. But then, I don't ask for much, material wise.

I only go quiet when there is a problem or someone has pizzed me off and will not try to work it out.

I can go silent longer than they can stand it. It's not a competition, I'm just mad and if I say anything it can go down faster than a whore on a . . . oops, sorry :lips:

If sulking means being quiet for awhile, then getting over it and going on... I am guilty at times.

i dont sulk..but i was married ot a man like wendy..he could shoot my good mood dead in a heartbeat..and then sulk for weeks on end if he didnt get his way...it backfired on him eventually..i got where i liked not being around him...hahhahahahahahaha

now when i mess up and allow someone close to me to make me angry i do try and remove myself from the convo..for a little while to think...so i can avoid the spur of the moment blabing off stuff....

in alot of ways my ex hardened me up...anybody else sulking can sulk till the end of time..i will not address it...your on your own there...i dont reward good for evil..to bad so sad...:D

when ever i hear the statement.......i would love you if....convo is over right then..i dont play that crap anymore...that is called emotional blackmail...

and i dont go for the statement "i wouldnt have treated you that way if"...get over yourself..i am not a dog..i dont do tricks for kindness...thats a major ****up in my book...

There is a place for the creative sulk. One stands, shocked by the unfairness of whatever it is, then sniffs, bravely but silently. Next, with a tremble of the lower lip, and perhaps a tiny teardrop glistening in one's sadly-betrayed, injuredly-innocent eye, one flounces to the door and exits the scene. Slamming is optional, but - if done - must be done stylishly. The next step is ongoing polite but silent treatment towards the perpetrator.

A good sulk is an artform and requires practice as well as loads of talent.

Yes, unfortunately I do sulk sometimes, and I just hate it when I do. I just cop onto myself and get over it quickly. Otherwise I'm in deep trouble.

Actually - sulking is probably the socialised version of beating the crap out of the clueless loser jerk who pyssed you off. Murder and mayhem are kind of unacceptable even if he/she/they needed killing, so you turn all that fight-flight energy inwards on yourself, the adrenalin builds up in your bloodstream and hypertension ensues. Isn't sulking a shortened form of depression? A flounce and doorbang, with all the previously mentioned accoutrements, to make your point - then out the door and off to a party/ the pub/ the ski slope.. with people who appreciate you properly.

God I love the way your mind works. You have style. I have a memory that is a curse. They say one should not hold a grudge. Fogive and forget. I just cannot do that. I can still recall dirt done to me by playmates when I was a child. I do recall the good things too tho. So yes, I guess I do sulk, inside at least. Not sure how much shows on my face.

Okie and Kathy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It must be Christmas! So good to see you both! Just keep clear of that sulky Irishman, skulking about, slamming doors and generally being strong and silent. Well strong and full of song.

On the latter - the wee one is in the class play and I kept getting notes home about getting the kids to learn their lines. I could never find any lines to learn, and finally asked the teacher. "Oh no" - she replied - "he doesn't have lines. He's a musician!" And my heart leapt with joy.

Er...
