Do you yell or shout, break things, throw things, stomp your feet, utter endless profanities, use the Lords name in vain, or anyone else's, hit someone or something?

When I was in my early teens I had a pretty bad temper. I would cuss mainly. Only once did I ever hit someone.

Nowadays I just let it slide and roll with the punches. Everybody get's theirs in the end...:D
The poolhall's a great equalizer. In the poolhall, nobody cares how old you are, how young you are, what color your skin is or how much money you've got in your pocket... It's about how you move. I remember this kid once who could move around a pool table like nobody had ever seen. Hour after hour, rack after rack, his shots just went in. The cue was part of his arm and the balls had eyes. And the thing that made him so good was... He thought he could never miss. I know, 'cause that kid was me.

Nope. There are only several things that might make me lose my temper... and I'd never let on that I was angry, if I did. Things that might make me get in your face and call you out would be dishonesty or somebody taking advantage of another person. One thing that will never get past me is lying... I'll sometimes give anyone an opportunity to confess what I already know, and that's only if I like you, but... if you don't then look out! I'm like Evel Dick who's currently on Big Brother, in that respect. :D

I don't know how I got caught up in watching it this year, but... since he didn't get voted out this time I can continue watching it for at least another few weeks.

I rarely have a temper. I almost always see the cup as three quarters full. If I get down -- I have to drag my boot straps up and lift myself so as not to see the empty side. To me temper is always seeing the empty side. Geez......suppose your dog always jumped in the truck because it was time to ride..........your spouse came home and the silly loving dog jumped in the truck and spilled a drink in the drink holder................would you be angry and yell or would you simply clean up the spill because the dog just loves to be near you and KNOWS it is going for a ride?

I used to have a terrible temper but as I've got older I seemed to have mellowed a lot. I was put on a anger management programme, but was asked to leave after the 1st session, they sat me next to a woman that had beat her 2 year old and 4 month old baby, I just saw red and lost it.

I have ever been one to break things but I used to lose it so bad I had no control in the situation.

If I get angry now, I tend to either shout, rant and rave on impulse, I have been trying to wait and count to 1000 which is working a little, so others are saying! :o

I used to have a pretty bad temper, until I realized it was counterproductive (this was when I was about 16) and trained myself to handle things differently. Now when I reach that point I just sort of switch off my emotions altogether - like throwing a fuse, I guess. That doesn't mean I won't respond to things, but I'll do so in a very cold and unemotional way. Then I'll wait until I'm alone again before I try to deal with the emotional stuff. More often than not, I figure it's just not worth pursuing something. Otherwise, though, at least when I come back to it I have a clearer idea of what I'm trying to achieve and how. Revenge truly is a dish best served cold.

The older I get, the more I need to get it out when I get upset. The more I think about whatever made me mad, the madder I get. I would never throw or break things because I don't need to have a mess to clean up. If I am mad enough that the tears start to flow, look out because my mouth is going to start and it's not going to be nice. As far as hitting, never. No matter how bad I want to, I don't want to hurt my hands.:wah:

How about you Lon? What's your temper like?

No, I don't think I have a bad temper, I whine...complain....huff and puff and mumble....lately I've been having a few screaming and stomping fits.....example: Last night when asked an 18 year old to do something simple for me after he told me if I would JUST ask HIM....so I did, and he still didn't do it....so I blew....it was an EASY task of picking something up in the yard and putting in shed......after I went and did it, saying some ugly things on the way out, I came inside and went back to my "mommy chores" as usual.....:D:D

I really don't have much of a temper. That doesn't mean I cant be riled. What it does mean is, I don't let other people get to me to the point of pissing me off so much that it ruins my day. I refuse to give others that kind of power over me. I try to live by the motto that if you have allowed a person to **** you off to the point of ruining your day that you have given them all the power over yourself, I say take the power back and not allow them to make you mad. I just say to myself "What a dumbass". Just like you guys say to me.:D

My temper must be worse than I thought. I was thrown out of my local DIY store this afternoon after I assaulted their greeter. He asked me if I wanted decking so I thought I'd get the first punch in. :o

I am one that is not quick to anger and is pretty mild mannered, but when I do loose it, tend to raise my voice and use a few choice profanities. My anger is not long lasting and I don't hold grudges, but I do get even when I feel I have been used.:wah:

I must've missed all the nose-picking, flatulence and spitting...

How can you not appreciate the irony of a man named Evel Dick, a self-proclaimed atheist with all the tattoos and piercings and foul-mouth, being the strongest, most intelligent, loyal and honest individual in the house? You've also got to admire Big Brother for selecting this group of misfits for this year... it certainly has been interesting, thus far. :D

Yeah, nobody believed that he knew all these names he was dropping, but... they interviewed a bunch of rockers and they all knew him and some even admitted to dropping has name, rather than the other way around. I can't say that I was surprised in the least that he was being honest... I've always had an ability to spot a liar... perhaps not at first, but... I always say I'll give it a month before the truth reveals itself.

I admit that some things he said about his own daughter in the beginning didn't go over so well with me, but... he's earned back my respect since then. Then last night he sacrificed himself by using the veto or whatever on his daughter and left himself up on the "chopping block". Anyway, what were we discussing? :p

I'm with Lon, I don't hold grudges, but I always get even with somebody who wronged me or someone that I care for or feel the need to protect... and then some. I'm the last person in the world that you ever want to go up against... and nobody has to believe me on that claim... if you don't see me as a threat, then that's just more power to me. :D
