Keys locked in car.....help !!!

YES, I DID IT....STUPID ME !!

Decided to run some messages in the pouring rain. I was at the recycling center cursing myself out for coming out on this freezing, rain-p***ing day with howling winds all around me. I must have hit a button when I shut the car door, thus locking myself out of the car.

Absolutely no one was around. I'm standing outside of my locked ,running car looking at my handbag which had my only 2 keys for the car, my cell phone and money that I planned to deposit soon. What to do, what to do ??????? My hood blew off, and I was standing there like a drowned rat.

Ran towards a cop car that was 2 blocks away, and he was definitely annoyed that I was bothering him. I have onstar but don't even know its number. I asked the cop to call onstar for me and he told me that he had to make a bank run. I said, "WELL, SO DO I." (I even laughed at that one, don't you laugh Jacks Dad). But at least he called a tow truck for me. Thankfully, he called my neighbor's service center.

Luckily, the mechanic was able to unlock the car door for me and they didn't charge me anything for the service because I'm a good friend and customer.

How lucky am I???? Found a lemon and made lemonade....gave everyone a rollicking good laugh, on a freezing rainy day, for locking keys in car, not knowing onstar's number, looking like a drowned rat and yelling at a cop.

I have just memorized onstar's # and plan to go to the dealership to make up more keys for my car.

All in a day's fun. Now, it's 2:30 and I deserve a drink. Cheers everyone:wah:

Sorry, Did I spell the name of the town wrong. No, I don't have family there. I met a really nice man that I was going to marry long ago and he lived there. I went there to "meet the parents" who were also lovely. His name was Dave and he planned to go back to college in Charleston.

Loved the town, fell out of love with him.

Ahhhh, Thanks Wendy. No, my friend, you cannot have my car. Her name is Rua, Irish for red, and she knows her way home. Even if I let her go, she would come home to the beach.:-4

I was so cold that I had to put on the heat and electric blanket. I'm better now with a little "Irish Mist.":wah:

I have done that one too many times! You can go to the hardware, or local Autozone and purchase a magnetic key holder, mine is a small black box with a sliding lid thats magnatized, and then you place it above your wheelwell, and beleive me they stick great! Just dont let anyone know.
