Do you play the lottery? If so do you think it takes just one ticket to win or do you buy multiple tickets? Have you ever won?

I would be suprised if I had played the lotto more than 5 times in my whole life.

Yes I only buy one ticket, if I am ment to win, one ticket will do the job.

I buy two pre-selected and one quick pick for each drawing. I've got myself into a friggin cycle, because I've used the same numbers on the two pre-selected ones for over 2 years, and I keep thinking if I don't buy them, they might fall - and then I'd have to be put in a mental institution.

Good thread Terri. :)

We have several UK lotteries here - daily, weekly, etc. We also have a weekly Euro Lottery, open to 9 European counties. Last week it had rolled over about 4 times and was won by just one person, Angela Kelly from Scotland. She won £35.4 million.

Of course I'm jealous as hell - what I couldn't do with that money! :o

I'm also pleased that someone nice won it. So many times in the past it has seemed as though undeserving oiks have won it. I remember one chap who won on Saturday and was in court on Monday for stealing cars! Like Sting in Quadrophenia he just got out his chequebook to pay the fine! :wah:

However, Dolores McNamara from Ireland won £77 million and immediately received kidnapping and death threats for her 6 kids!

So the other side of the coin is...how would you protect your friends and family?

Would you really like to spend your life surrounded by bodyguards? Do your kids want to be guarded everywhere they go? And what if they escape their guards? Go off with their mates for the day? Wouldn't you be worried sick? Is having a nice house/ car/ holidays worth the anguish of having your child kidnapped or tortured? Personally I think that nice mansion would turn into a luxurious prison cell. :(
