I just don't understand violence

Post by Kathy Ellen »

I have been very fortunate to buy a home at a small seaside town where my family has been holidaying since "forever." This has been my dream to buy a little home in this town. You won't believe it, but I bought this home 10 years ago for a "steal." It's a little shack, but it's so special to me. I took my baby steps on the sand nearby when I was a toddler, and I was never afraid of the sea.

I live next to a restaurant and across the street from a "bait shop." All has been so peaceful for the last few years until recently. The 3 level rental home across the street next to the "bait shop" has had 3 new families move in and they seem very nice. But, they are also difficult. Now, they are crazy.

The police were just at my door making sure all the resident were ok. It seems that the fishermaen at the bait shop and the renters across the street were at odds over something and were fighting. Not only were these men fighting, cursing, hitting, punching, throwing each other other into cars and almost on top on my steps...................barreling into my "NEW DOOR," that I just paid a fortune for....but they were angry with me for yelling at them.

I bought a home 10 years ago at my childhood home at the sea and loved to wake up at 4 A.M and go outside in my jammies with my cuppa and telescope and look up at the stars, and now all I'm seeing is someone looking back at me and there's no privacy at all.

The police want me to come in this week about this episode. My freedom is gone.

Dont panic and get despondent... the situation is just temporary. They probably will be gone.. the landlord of the rental property will be more careful next time who he rents to,,, and calm will be restored. Hang in there. Things like this happen everywhere. It will be OK>

I agree with Laura, hang in there, peace will return and your shell seeking days will be peaceful again.
