hi joan,

i feel awful, must have missed you posting about tony along the way, i had no idea :o

my mum had a mild stroke, she lived in bournemouth, i kept trying to phone her but she had knocked the phone off the hook, i called my girls and all her friends to make sure she wasnt talking to them first then called the local police station who sent a chap round to her. he called the ambulance and sat with her til it came, she was in hospital for a few days and made a complete recovery.

sadly she passed away a few weeks later from something totally unrelated but i shall always be grateful to the policeman for what he did.

I'm going to have 40 winks ! Try to make up for what I lost last night/this morning due to the very loud party next door (second in under a week !). Helen I now know what you go through most nights ! The difference here is that I was able to knock on their front door and eventually somebody came to answer. There wasn't much risk of swearing or rough stuff towards me - it might have been because my alsatian was by my side at the time !! :wah: That was just after 3 am, they switched off their noise with many apologies. The party finished shortly after that, then there was the noise of furniture being moved around and doors closing (they just don't know how to turn handles when they close doors !), and trampin up and down stairs, I suppose they were clearing stuff up - split level houses with kitchen on lowest level with sitting room next level up. I don't know how the neighbours the other side of the party felt about it all yet. However I was able to get to sleep around 4 am. Up again at 8 am. These houses are just not meant to hold loud parties in. :(

See you all later maybe :-4

TWO BROOMS!

Two brooms were hanging in the closet and after a while they got to know each other so well, they decided to get married.

One broom was, of course, the bride broom, the other the groom broom.

The bride broom looked very beautiful in her white dress. The groom broom was handsome and suave in his tuxedo. The wedding was lovely.

After the wedding, at the wedding dinner, the bride-broom leaned over and said to the groom-broom, "I think I am going to have a little dust broom!!!"

"IMPOSSIBLE !!" said the groom broom.

Are you ready for this?

Brace yourself; this is going to hurt.

"WE HAVEN'T EVEN SWEPT TOGETHER!"

Oh for goodness sake... laugh, or at least groan. Life's too short not to enjoy... even these silly little cute..... and clean jokes

Sounds to me like she's been "sweeping" around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:wah::wah:

People need people and friends need friends

And we all need love for a full life depends

Not on vast riches or great acclaim,

Not on success or on worldly fame,

But just in knowing that someone cares

And holds us close in their thoughts and prayers-

For only the knowledge that we're understood

Makes everyday living feel wonderfully good,

And we rob ourselves of life's greatest need

When we "lock up our hearts" and fail to heed

The outstretched hand reaching to find

A kindred spirit whose heart and mind

Are lonely and longing to somehow share

Our joys and sorrows and to make us aware

That life's completeness and richness depends

On the things we share with our loved ones and friends.[/QUOTE]Ahhhh fanks mate for that
