How to Grocery Shop

Post by Lon »

Here's another plug for Safeway Markets. Shop on line and have your groceries delivered at a time of your choosing. They offer all kinds of incentive for free delivery and even if you had to pay delivery charges, they are modest. I have used them several times when the weather was bad and I didn't want to go to the market. Whoever does the selections did a great job in picking out the good veggies and fruits. Check out http://www.safeway.com.

This could also solve some folks problem of dealing with nasty clerks.

i have been doing my grocery shopping online for a hwile now:D I usually use Asda or Tesco. Its especially great for the big christmas shop, you can book your delivery slot way in advance ( well 2 weeks or a month, cant remember now) but its great not having to stand in queue nearly reaching the car park:wah:

I used it too when in UK, particularly useful for heavily pregnant women, old folks or people with a disability too. :-6

Here's an example of the sort of place I live in. A women came into our local supermarket and asked about internet shopping. Well the response she got was ..... durrrrr, there ain't no such fing. The cashier serving was laughing when the women left, she said to me 'can you believe that question, internet grocery shopping Ha!'. I just rolled my eyes and thought no dear, the last laughs on you. One day they may realise we are in 2007 and not 1940 :wah:

Actually I have two systems the second one being- giving my two children half the list and telling them to go get the products. Cuts shopping time in half.

And keeps the kids busy:D
