I can't help but wonder, why do/did "parents" allow their "Children" to sleep over at Mike J.'s Neverland Ranch, when there has been previous allegations of wrong doings there! (Shakedown Money?)

WHAT DO YOU THINK IS GOING THROUGH THEIR HEADS???

i feel sorry for michael jackson. i'm quite certain that he has been shaken down many times in the past. this indictment and trial however seem to have put a pretty dark lock on his future though - i don't think he's going to wiggle out of it, and i do think he's a pedophile. i don't think he really, truly, understands that he's a pedophile though.

the man is terribly, terribly screwed up. huge fame at the age of five. childhood stolen by said fame. a pathological hatred of himself - all you have to do is look at him to know that.

one of the most 'lost' souls i can think of. and i think he's going to spend a good five or ten years at a country-club prison somewhere. after five or ten years of appeals and etc.

pathetic, on so many levels.

pathetic, on so many levels.Five or ten years! is that what he's looking at?

Blimey, here in Britain he'd probably get community service and a £500 fine!

Does anyone know the sentence MJ is likely to receive if he's found guilty, LC?

Either because they`re stupid, or they crave fame, or they hadn`t heard about the previous cases, or (most likely of all) they thought they might become rich by suing him!

That's one of the differences between the USA and UK

We are much tougher on crime and sentencing here and it shows.

I can't understand what or if these parents were thinking letting their children stay with him. All the money in the world is not worth putting your child through that.

If guilty of child molestation in Pennsylvania he/she would be jailed for between 10 and 30 years depending upon the severity of the crime.

They would not enjoy their prison time.

Upon leaving prison they would be placed on the appropriate Offender's Register and would be under surveillance for the rest of their lives.

Surely it depends, Peg, on whether you like your child or not?
