Gas BBQ Grill-It's LUCKY I checked!!!! Yesterday I decided to get our Gas BBQ grill ready for today's family get together. It's about "4" years old, and this was going to be the "first" time using it this season. Well, I finally took off all the briquetts covering the burner jet for the first time, and low & behold the burner jet was all totally "rotted" out. A very dangerous condition. So I had to scampper to the store to get a replacement burner jet! All is now good in CARSland, and we are safely ready for todays BBQing!!! :-6
Moral: So if this is the first time this season you are going to use your BBQ grill, check your burner jet(s) carefully to see that it is not "rotted" out! :-2

What happens when it's rotted out? I use my BBQ for just about everything, all winter too. I'm not sure what a rotted out burner jet would look like. I just know how to turn it on and cook on it. :yh_nailbi

koan if you use year round and keep out of the weather you should have no problems with rusting (rotting) out.

Good tip, but if I ever tried to BBQ in my small garden, I`d surely set fire to mine and the neighbour`s houses anyway!
