Your Dreams

I've always been fascinated by dreams and how we process life while we're sleeping. What about your dreams.... do you remember them? Are your dreams in color? Is there a recurring theme? What do you think their use is? What was the last dream you had that you can remember?

I actually LIVE to dream..I pray every night that I have a dream--something other then the everyday things that happen..My last very VIVID dream--was about 2 months ago..As some of you know--we had to turn my dad off a vent. and let him go...I waited for almost 5 yrs for him tell me it was ok...I FINALLY had my dream.. I talked to him what seemed like all night..He told me things that were going to happen, how much my nephew would weigh--that he was a boy..and he was right--1 oz off! I was so amazed! I got to ask him if he was angry for giving up on him getting better..and he said if we would have left him on the vent- he would have died 2 days later..and he THANKED me for the choice we made...Another nephew passed away last December--He was my best friend...We were raised as siblings...and when he died my mother was very ill and in ICU..so the guilt of me not being there when he left us, killed me inside..--I asked him if he has "made it"...and my dad laughed a belly laugh I hadn't heard since I was a child...and said--**YES- HE FINALLY DID**...He said he loves us all and watches out for us...he told me the war would never really be over and that we would not pull soldiers out until 2012..

we talked about EVERYTHING...and when I woke up--I really felt like a new person...I felt relief I hadn't felt in years since his death...HE also told me I would live a long life and that my cancer would not be what kills me...when I asked what would he said--he couldn't tell me...as I would live in fear of something..Strange--believe it or not--but I loved that dream..and I lay awake at night--praying to do it all over again...and YES i dream in color!!:-4

I wanted to share my dream and was thankful to find this thread, thanks laneybug!

Okay....this was my dream last night:

I went to visit my cousin up in PA who is only 9 months younger than me, we've always been close...we are very different type people though....she is VERY laid back, as I am too...but not as much as her....anyway....We were driving down the road and we were in her old car (not the new pretty one, but an old boat she used to have and olds or buick...not sure what it was....) and we are talking on the way to the store (which is a normal thing for us to have to run to the store for something when I visit) and she was showing me certain places, like where she works and where her friend lives etc. and then she says and this is the SWAMP...and she drives into this large body of water/pong and the car sinks to the bottom, we swim out to safety and she and I just watch this car disappear...(In real life, I've been carrying around a check that needs to go to the bank) So, I start freaking out, because my purse is in the car and I have money in my purse along with other things....my cousin says "ooops"....oh well, lets go get cleaned up, we'll figure this out later....I'm going bonkers...and she's acting like it was spilled milk, not a car being sucked up by a swamp!!

So, we go back and get cleaned up....and I'm thinking we are going to go back down to this pond to get the car, but she comes out of her bedroom, ready to go out to dinner....all spiffied up for a date....she's lost a lot of weight and in my dream, she is SHOWING it off!!--which is not like her in real life!! We never got the car out....there were a few other weird things but that was the jest of my WEIRD dream!!

Well I always have several dreams every night, (no wonder I tend to wake up looking confused every morning haha.) My dreams are usually about everything and anything. Most times I wake up during the night after having a dream, and within a minute am back asleep again, either carrying on that same dream, or having a new one.

I usually remember them, though particulary the last one I have during the night. Last one I had was about my family and I going on a long car journey somewhere, and then getting lost until finally finding our way.

I'm sure that my dreams are trying to tell me something, or at least represent something, as I do have a lot of recurring dreams. I have even had this same one about 4 times, which is really spooky don't you think?
