Well you wont believe my day, I went to college today and broke down into tears twice, just stressed to the max, I finished college, collected kids as they had an appointment for their flu jabs, both kids refused to even walk into the surgery, so I headed on home. I walked in the door and noticed a really bad smell, I walked through to the back door to open it for the kids and skidded on an inch of water, the bloody ceiling was pouring water. I called the council who said they could send someone straight away but that was no good as Jim was waiting for me to collect him. Anyway, I headed off and collected Jim, as soon as I got home I called the council and they sent someone out, basically our combi boiler had a big crack in it and it had been leaking for approax 6 weeks. It has affected another part of the dinning room and come down the kitchen ceiling and wall. So now we have no heating as they need to order the part, Jenna has her op on Monday and I have to have heating on for her to come home (she is asthmatic).

The most upsetting thing is that all the kids things that they made me are ruined:-1, I don't care about the floor and my electrical equipment they can be replaced.

So whoever said our bad luck is unbelievable, I couldn't agree more.

Thanks mate :-4, I really couldn't make all this crap up! The wooden flooring is starting to lift, I have just left the whole lot for tonight, I will clear up in the morning. Hopefully the water will stop coming through by then. They have said that hopefully the joists will dry out, if they are rotting then they have said that we will have to move out and stay in bed and breakfast as it would be deemed unsafe to stay in the house!

So i'm keeping everything crossed, I might even set my hairdryer on them :rolleyes:
