This can go two ways as I see it.

On one hand I think it's a good thing that they are making a Barbie not based on sexuality. On the other hand, they already nailed down that kids are suggestible and will imitate their toys, so I see that as a form of brainwashing them into going for values that may not be their own in due time.

I don't know if I am making any sense here. Excepting the head scarf, I thought the clothes were attractive, BTW.

Paris Hilton has me saying "that's hot" too... yeah, I actually think if I had to choose whether to buy my niece a traditional Barbie or a muslim Barbie... I'd choose the muslim one. I wish they made an infinite array of them... then I could teach my niece she can be anything she wants to be.

I played with Barbie when i was younger. I never imitate the "skimpy" clothes barbie wore. Hell, I won't wear a v-neck top without another top under it. I'm super conservative! I think it's cool to have more ethnic looking dolls.

WHERE'S THE NORWEGIAN BARBIE?! AND THE VIKING KEN?!

I don't play with dolls but i would defiantly buy those two and let them chill on my tv or something.

From chats I've heard between a Muslim father and his daughter caught looking at internet porn... If you undress it, it should say "Allah hates you" in red letters on her body. :wah:
