Can someone inform me how to get this back, apparently there was a whatchamacallit that made it go away. Id like it back please. Can anyone explain to me what happened ?
Its not just me theres other people (lots of them) this happened to. On second thought I dont care why it happened but I would like it back. Maybe someone here took it ? That wouldnt surprise me one bit.

Which of the various Micro$oft Bloatware systems are you running?
I haven't heard but I'll ask round.

Do you get any error messages? Like an Invalid Page Fault or similar?

When I try to edit a picture it says there is no file associated with it so it cant.
And its not in my programs at all. I see by googling many others have had the same glitch but I see no solution or re-download for it.

Usually paint is in the accessories folder, did you look in there, not under regular programs?

No association is a minor irritation if that's all it is.
Not in your Programs list is not a problem if that's all it is.
Having been deleted completely might slow us down a bit
Try doing a search in Windoze Explorer for MSPAINT.EXE starting in the C: drive and including subfolders

I found that in a subfolder but when I try to open it it says there is an error and needs to shut down. It doesnt describe the type of error. Well it does but its gibberish. Ill pull it up again maybe you can make eense of it.

One man's gibberish is another man's error message
It'll give us a clue anyway.

first thing you should do is check the add/remove program area that says "windows components" and make sure paint still has a checkmark.
