Dr's, do you have a favourite?

Post by SuzyB »

At my Dr's surgery there are about 6 Dr's, I like to see 'my' Dr, as I find it to much of a hassle to try and go through my problems and medication, I had to wait a week and a half for my appointment today, I got there and she was running late. After 45 mins the receptionist asked me if I would like to go down to Dr Greig's room, they were most upset with me when I said I wasn't booked for him and I refused to see any other Dr.

Do you like to see 'your Dr' or are you happy to see anyone at the surgery?

At my Drs you're lucky if you ever see the same dr twice and if you dont make an appointment by 8.30am you've no chance of seeing a doc!

I'd much rather see my own doctor! I wouldn't appreciate being shuffled off onto someone else and having to go over my history and meds and stuff with them.

I seem to be fairly unique...my doctor is the only doctor and the practice nurse is his wife. An old fashioned set up but even the receptionists are pleasant *gasp*

There are only two doctors at my surgery, several receptionists (who seem to have gained fantastic abilities in medical diagnosis as they seem to be the ones who decide wether you actually need to see a doctor ), a few practice nurses and a pychiatric nurse. I have no preferance, to be honest, of which doctor I see, one is a lady, the other is a male doctor. It wouldn't even bother me if I had problems with my crown jewels, I would still go see the lady doctor .

The male doctor is sweedish and is in to all the "alternative" remedies, I often prefer to stick with the good old fashioned way of dealing with things, ya know, tried and tested drugs / procedures :)
