Glasgow Wins Bid to host Commonwealth Games

Glasgow has won its bid to host tye 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The annoucement was made by the Commonwealth Games Federation meeting in Sri Lanka.

Glasgow's fate was in the hands of the 71 countries who voted in Colombo in Sri Lanka.

Celebrations are now underway across Glasgow including at the Fruitmarket where around 1,000 people ahve gathered for the result.
