She is, presumably, jealous of her honour. She feels she would be dishonoured in the eyes of her own friends if her new b/f showed a partiality to any girl he knew before he met her. He feels uncomfortable because he knows that a sign of approval from him would cause him grief from his new g/f afterwards. What's he to do? Be nice to you and suffer for the next week for it?

Some women have enough self-confidence that their new b/f wouldn't feel he was in that position. Perhaps you should feel sorry for him that he's forced to be socially awkward. If you really want to keep talking to him you'll need to make friends with his new owner and get her consent, and a tough job that'll be.

Look on the bright side sweetheart, He's your best friend, if and when he breaks up with his girlfriend he'll come back to you for comfort and advice and you feel free to smack him one and tell him how awkward he made you feel. :wah:

My best friend's a guy and he does exactly the same thing, we give each other advice when it's needed (sometimes when it's not) but we're always there for each other .

You'll get used to your mates moving on, as they will you. :-4

It's a shame that this behavior happens Skittle. Friends should not desert you because they have a new mate.:-5 But, it happens all the time.

Good luck with your friend.
