Under the tree or stocking?

What did you like too do first, as a child, run to your Christmas Stocking, or to your gifts under the tree? For us, it was the stocking, it was a mini Christmas in that alone, then the gifts....................................

I Used To Run To The Tree I Never Had A Stocking When I Was Little...

My Kids Run To The Tree First As Normal Thats Where The Biggest Presents Are Put Lol...........

We always opened up our gifts in our stockings first and so do my kids....My mom always put the neatest and funniest stuff in there...I always loved the wrapped tooth-brush:rolleyes::wah:

You never had a stocking? I know things are different for everyone, but me mum knitted ours and they were about 2 feet long, and when she was done stuffing them , they were literally all the way to the hearth of our fire place!

My Grandmother hand knit everyone in our family stockings....EVEN the animals...they are so special to me....I love to look at them every year and know that they were made with a lot of love!!:-4:-4:-4

Stockings first. Was always a rule, could look through the stockings but had to wait for parents to open gifts. So we do same thing with the kids.

When we were kids, we used to have all our pressies in a big sack at the bottom of our bed and i'd always end up waking up in the middle of the night and would love to see my sack over flowing with pressies.

We put our kids pressies under the tree for the simple fact, they would all be open by the morning if we put them at the bottom of their beds :wah:

Under the tree and under the stocking, I like them both!!! haha. My daughter gets to open her stocking first. the stocking is as big as me and she would like it filled. I wrap the presents in the stocking, so, she has to open them.
