Christmas Stockings

What kind do you use?

Actual socks?

I used to love those long knit ones that could actually be worn. I think I've always used a real sock or a sock shaped sack of some sort.

mine all came from cracker barrel..restaraunt..they are old timey with our names wrote on them..i took them and had them monogrammed...i have been on a monogramming kick the last several years..:p

My Granmother hand knitted everyone in our family a stocking....even my mom has one for the cats and one for the dogs....

I remember giving my ex his that my grandmother made with a lot of love with her arthritis hands and thinking....he doesn't deserve this....but she made it for him....

They are very precious to me, Go in a special box in zip lock bag every year....:-4

I made ours. Regular Christmas stockings then I wrote out the names with glue and dusted the glue with glitter.

I dont think that makes me gay though.

I've been thinking about making special stockings that will last.

I'm cutting out the gift giving part as of this year. There will be no more big Christmas present opening sessions. But I'm keeping the stocking thing going.

i like to get chrstmas material and make bags out of them..and sew colorful ribbons together and use to close the bags ..thats how i wrap my presents..and i love to make baskets..i collect small things all year that are special to my family and fill the baskets up at xmas...everybody returns their baskets to me everyyear so i will do it again...and my tins come and go..if they return them to me..i fill them back up with xmas goodies i make and give them back to the owner ....it took people a while to figure out to return the tins to me to keep getting candy and cookies...
