I can't comfortably argue with you just yet, Jimbo. I still worry that you take me seriously, when you shouldn't. That's the same reason I don't go after Nomad anymore... you guys are just too danged sensitive these days!:p
Now, that Mike guy, the one that got stuck home with the baby... balls of steel, for that alone!:D

Who are they to protest me? Who are they? Unless they've been me and been there and know what the hell they're yelling about!

Hi Buttercup! Is someone fighting someone or is this a suggestion of how we should deal with those irritating rellies in the Festive Season??? I'm a peaceable person and don't really feel the need of a hatchet at all, but on the other hand, a bit of murder and mayhem is always fun. Where's the action??? I seem to have missed it!!!
:sneaky:
Nice to see you, by the way. I think you haven't been around for a while????

Its xmas, bury the hatchet
Actually, I have buried two hatchets this year. One with two FG members who have since become very good friends. (V & P)
And one recent hatchet was buried just this week with another FG member, who accepted my request to "start fresh." (S)
I am very happy about this. It's amazing how you can forget people are human beings and not just their words on your computer screen. Sadly, it does happen but fortunately, most people are willing to forgive.

I get along with my relatives, so no hatchets there.

Trying to do that. It is easier said than done!

Good for you Red and for all of us who manage to make a fresh start, where there's previously been conflict. It takes a lot of courage. Way to go!

Thank you Pam! And good for the other people involved who were willing to let bygones be bygones!! (Thank you!) :-6

Absolutely - burying the hatchet takes two!! Though mostly one party has to courageously make the first approach. (OOOh, I've just courageously split an infinitive... )

Its xmas, bury the hatchet
I buried the hatchet two months ago with a lady that had been my friend for over 15 years. There was a misunderstanding when my ex played us off against each other a year ago, it feels soooo good to have her back as my mate!
Now..... the biggy is my ex, I'm willing to bury the hatchet for the sake of the children it needs to be done. All pray!

I completely understand where you are coming from Betty!! That is the ONE I most struggle with. I am congenial to him and try to be friendly, but I harbor hard feelings for how he treated/treats his children. :-5:-5

Its xmas, bury the hatchet
I touched on this in the "how do you feel thread" but I guess I should've posted it here..... Here is the long version....
Yesterday was the annual Christmas party for my ex's side of the family, he has nothing to do with the sister that throws the family get together, her and I keep in touch and she makes sure my boys are included in the party....well, I didn't have a way to get the younger boys over to her house (only about 5 miles away) so she came to get them, my oldest son drove my car to work...my sister in law, came and picked my one son up and the other was still over a friends house, so she told me she would be back to get the other son when he got dropped off from friends mom, and she really wanted me to come over. Well, in years past, the other sister and I just didn't get along, she took sides with my ex and was very mean to me and spoke evil of me in front of my children...etc....
It has been almost 5 years since he left and the one sister and I just kept our distance, but last year we were congenial....and she was a mess from experiencing a great los, of a family member committing suicide....I had been praying for her, but hadn't seen her since last Christmas. When the sister in law came back to get my other son when he got home from a friends house, I was in the bedroom and she told me she brought some people with her that wanted to see me....I yelled that I was in my pj's (trying to take a afternoon nap) and they laughed...well there stood my mother in law and a person I didn't recognize, she had lost so much weight that I didn't know who she was! She said something and I realized it was her and I tried to keep my shock face to a minimum....well, she said "I am so sorry for being so mean to you, I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me"....I ran to her and hugged her and said...."I forgave you a long time ago" and we were just sobbing, my sister in law joined in the hug and we were just a crying trio!!:-1
It felt good to get that out and to see that she needs my prayers even more now....Just when you think you have enough....you get more sometimes, but I consider this a major blessing, God brought her to me for cleansing and to show me that I'm not alone in my struggles....and that forgiveness is possible and totally neccesary. (sp?-that doesn't look right).
This woman used to be a large woman and I don't think she can fit into a size 2 pants, she is nothing but bones....I'm crying just thinking about it....Please send beams and prayers for her....It is heartbreaking!:-1 Thank you.:-4
