if i turn the tv down i can hear a really strange crinkly swooshy sort of noise.

I think it's next door's washing machine on spin cycle.And I can hear cars going past outside.

What can you hear if everything in your own house is silent?

The wind blowing outside.

My dogs milling about.

Neighborhood dogs barking.

But especially the wind.

I can hear them scratching and softly barking to each other. Some are napping while others are walking around. I can hear rustling noises from little paws.

i hear the bats in the ceiling, mice in the walls, roaches under the floor boards, and the screaming in the basement.
