trapped in the toilet

If you got trapped in the toilet for four days, what do you normally carry with you which would make things easier?

I carry a mobile phone, so i could call someone anyway, but suppose there was no signal?

I have a large bag i could use as a pillow, i generally have some chocolate on me i can eat, and recently I have been carrying a fleece blanket about with me, to sit on as i have been uncomfortable on hard chairs, so that would be useful.I generally have a book with me to pass the hours, or pen and notebook to make lists.

I know you all use the word toilet for bathroom/restroom but it still sounds funny! I'm picturing a guy actually stuck in the toilet bowl....:o :D :wah:

:wah::wah: Yes I had to struggle with not saying toilet when I first got here.

When my son first went to school here, he was asked if he needed to use the washroom he gave them a very odd look and said 'NO! I'm not dirty'. They then spend a few mins. trying to say the right words (they tried everything but 'toilet') in the end the teacher said 'someone just take him and show him what we are talking about'. :)

Is that story for real - how could anyone be locked in the toilet for 4 days. The cleaner found him eventually ...... I wonder how often she is meant to clean the toilets. Its a bit sad, that no one missed him either.

Anyway in answer to your question ..... I would have a complete panic attack, after about 20 mins. Then smash the door down. :D

the slight differences in language aren't a problem here, the title just seemed funny. :D

i just thought of another british/american langauge problem i had-

i was on the phone with an american friend, suddenly he said to me to wait a second because his dog was going potty.

I listened, expecting to hear a dog going potty - in british going crazy - but there was silence. No barking or anything.

He returned to the phone and i asked him - what was the dog doing?

after much laughter, we sorted that misunderstanding out - in american, going potty means letting the dog into the garden to do a pee.
