Well its 5am and I have just finished feeding Shayden and my son has just left to catch a train to the airport.

Latesha will be having an hours visit to day being xmas eve with her father and 2 hours with her nan and mum, will be interesting to see if they buy her any presents.

Later on I will put Shayden in the pram and he can watch me while I mow the lawn, I have to go inot town then but caant remember what for, hopefully I will remember before I go in:yh_rotfl.

Anyhow in case I dont get time to get back on I want to wish you all a very happy Christmas Day and I will be thinking of you all. Luvs ya heaps.:-4

Ah Kay, sigh. It's tough isn't it. My son tried to call me the other day from London. I was out at the time and missed the call. Dunno where he is now. He and his sister were going, together to the French Alps*** to have a white Christmas* with other Aussie "orphans" far from home. So he's maybe there by now, or knowing his last minute gaddings, in transit. His sister, with the new French job, is working and had to cancel**. I just had an email from her. She's finally worked out how to operate a Parisian laundrette!!! Miss them both. And this is the first Christmas that the two of them won't at least be together.

*Last year they all went to Vienna, and it didn't snow!!!

** I hope she can at least get time off to see the Paris Christmas lights, walk down the Champs Elysées, visit the Galeries Lafayette.

OMG you wouldnt believe it but Daniel missed his plane

Wont go into the long detalils of why but hubby has just gone to pick him up. Good news is we may be able to get him on another flight tomorrow morning for an extra $70 which is good. Fingers crossed

Christmas day was a bit heavy going here.. grin... due to circumstances outside my control. But we managed to turn things around, pretty much, and had a good day. The turkey was awesome (even though it was somewhat postponed) and the champers was cold and bubbly (perfect). One excited Small Person got a stocking full of goodies from Santa and just seeing his eyes light up made everything somehow worth while. I copped some great loot, including some eccentric things like a dictionary of etymology (in French!!) and a pair of Nordic walking poles.

Boxing Day today, and I think we'll head back to Sydney.

Romy sent me some photos of Paris. And I'm posting a view from the window of her apartment, it looks very cold there now.

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. It's a good time of year.

Hi Pam ! Seems like you have had a good Christmas ! I'm afraid I don't have the joy of seeing childrens' faces on Christmas morning - my son is adult, but he still shows great surprise and pleasure at the pressies on Christmas morning! (He's still just a big kid at heart :wah:).

We have had a lovely two days.

Our youngest grandson can now open his own Toyworld store:wah:

We tricked our two older grandkids,wrapped up a cap each & just gave that to them.

We watched them unwrap them,they gave us a kiss & hug.

Little did they knoqw we had put some money up near the brims.

Took them a while to find the $.Then the big smiles came & they laughed with us at our joke.

Hi Gill and MrsK!! Yes, it's a great time of the year. I love you tricking the older kids, MrsK!! I think we're all kids at Christmas. Back in Sydney now - missed the start of the yacht race, but the harbour's been very very lively this afternoon. We're all pooped, just finished off the turkey and are all sprawled about contentedly.

I've had a quick hoover round today and that will be the only thing i will do, its my day today i just slob around doing whatever i want, which is usually nowt. In fact still in me jim jams and probably wont get dressed all day:D

The weather's even worse in Paris. My daughter has a bad cold, spent Christmas day on her own, worked right up to late night christmas Eve, ironing out little probs with her channel launch, and sounded quite down. It's hard being so far away. But she'll bounce back. Sbe is back at work today (Boxing Day).. we're already into the 27th here in Oz.

I loved Prisoner... remember Bea, Queen Bea. Scary. And that old woman with the very wrinkled face. God she had a tragic life, in reality.. can't go there even in my thoughts. Grin.

Thanks for thinking of me and the Tower of London in one breath. Grin.. hee hee. I hope you gave my love to the ravens. Haven't been in London since May - nice place. Now his sister's left, my son has moved from the house they shared in Barnet in the north, down to Lambeth, close to his work at CNBC. Not far from Elephant and Castle.

I just fixed an ordinary sage and onion stuffing this year. I've been through the macadamia nut, blueberry etc ones andreally prefer it simple. My bread sauce received compliments. Grin. For a change, we had a cool Christmas Day. Much better for cooking, not to mention eating.

Fam has arrived.. en masse.. gotta run xxx

I went through The Elephant an Castle today Pam.I couldn't believe the traffic......stand still on boxing day ffs....eres a picture we managed to take at the traffic lights at The Tower......not that great as it was taken with a phone through a car window lol:driving:;)

Found it Carol ! Singing brilliant Mrs. Pity the camera work was not the best, didn't do you justice Carol. Next time you do this make sure the lighting is a lot better ! Having said that, it is a nice thought to let your mates hear you again.
