There is thick fog in england at the moment and planes have been postsponed for the past couple of days, also the roads are affected,
what a shame for people just wanting to get to see their families for christmas.
They are saying that many thousands may not get home by christmas.
such a shame

it is such a shame that the one celebration of the year (i mean other than for those who follow the very religious festivals such as easter) happens in the middle of winter when the weather is uncertain.
If that makes any sense.I mean if Jesus had been born in spring then we would celebrate in spring.
I always feel very sad as well when i hear of something bad happening at this time.I know it is bad at any time, but for example, there was a woman killed today when someone threw a rock at her car and she crashed the car into a tree. And I just thought how sad for that womans family, she was probably going to see them, and now..................

Off topic a bit, but there is theory that Jesus *was* born in spring...April or so I believe but don't hold me to that exact month. The christian church took what was the pagan celebration of Yule or Winter Solstice and swiped it for their own use along with much of the symbolism (ie trees, stars, angels, etc) in a misguided effort to convert pagans to the christian faith.
